I am a professional, fully qualified counsellor and since discovering this profession 5 years ago I consider that I have been gifted by this work I do.
Difficult times in my own life led me down this path, with my own experience of personal therapy and counselling being so supportive.
I work from a practise room at my home in South Manchester - M19, right near the A6 and walking distance from the nearest train station and bus stops.
I also provide voluntary counselling for women in a charity based in Stockport, where I support women with a wide variety of issues. During this time I have been lucky enough to further develop my working knowledge and see the positive outcomes experienced by women I have helped who access the service.
I am a registered member of the BACP and practice within their professional framework. I have professional liability insurance and regular supervision. These elements ensure that I work in a professional and ethical way.
I am qualified to work with a wide variety of problems and issues either short or longer term but I have particular training in; domestic abuse, bereavement loss and grief, spirituality/religion, sexuality and cultural issues.
I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, low self esteem/confidence, family issues, cross-cultural relationships, relationship issues, separation and divorce, emotional abuse, sexual abuse and stress.
